The success of the Junior Achievement programs depends on the efforts of business and community volunteers. These volunteers teach the JA curriculum to students from kindergarten through 12th grade in their classrooms. The classes are taught during the school day and volunteers have the opportunity to select the grade level they prefer. Whole School Sponsorship Companies can sponsor JA’s Whole School Program by providing the volunteers and the funding necessary to cover the cost of the materials, training, servicing and recruitment of volunteers. Smaller firms may become involved by providing several volunteers and partnering with another firm to reach an entire school. Whole School Sponsorship Levels are: 10-14 classrooms = $ 5,000 15-19 classrooms = $ 7,500 20-29 classrooms = $ 10,000 30-39 classrooms = $ 15,000 40+ classrooms = $ 20,000 A Whole School Sponsorship includes: A financial investment to cover all program materials, training, supplies, staffing and evaluation needed to carry out the programs. A commitment to provide the necessary volunteers to teach the Junior Achievement curriculum in every classroom at the selected school(s). The appointment of a liaison from your organization to work with Junior Achievement staff representatives to coordinate the activities between your organization and the school(s).
Class Sponsorship For those firms who do not sponsor an entire school, the cost per class sponsorship is $500. This covers the cost to recruit, train, and service volunteers and the cost of the curriculum materials.
Operating Gift Firms are encouraged to support our programs with a Major Gift Contribution each year, which helps us reach additional students in the firm’s county. Operating gifts usually range from $1,000 to $50,000. Personal Gift Individuals have the opportunity to give a personal gift to Junior Achievement. Our “Personal Giving Options” flyer details the various ways to make a personal contribution. Recycle for JA Junior Achievement partners with Recycle Tech Solutions (RTS) to enable organizations to recycle used laser toner cartridges, inkjet printer cartridges, printer maintenance kits, and cell phones. For each product recycled, a financial donation (typically between $1 and $5 per product) is made to Junior Achievement of Chicago from RTS. This donation is tax-deductible for the “Recycle for JA” participating organization. JA Speakers Bureau Are you looking for a motivational and educational speaker for an upcoming corporate meeting?
