Recently, the Technology Committee of JA of Chicago’s Board of Directors identified “e-learning" as a critical area to be developed for volunteers. The goal was to develop a learning medium that was accessible, interesting, and content rich. Through ongoing partnership with JA’s Technology and Volunteer Committees, a number of brief (4-5 minute) videos were developed to train volunteers on the delivery of JA’s programs. Each video provides tips and techniques for training a particular program and lesson. Although not meant to replace face-to-face training, the videos can be useful when volunteers cannot attend a scheduled training or when a returning volunteer needs a “refresher." We will be introducing more of these videos so that all JA programs are covered, but check out a few of the tutorials we've created so far!
