JA’s Bowl-a-Thon Season Kick-off

December 18th, 2012

JA Chicago kicked off the 2013 Bowl-a-Thon season with a Monopoly themed kick-off event of over 30 sponsoring company representatives gathering to celebrate their achievements and focus on how to make next year’s fundraising efforts even more successful.   After a delicious hot breakfast generously provided by 10Pin Bowling Lounge and a presentation delivered by two exceptional JA students, the ideas and best practice sharing were underway.

This year, company coordinators are planning to increase donations at their events through the following avenues:

  • Leverage executive support to increase participation
  • Encourage online donating
  • Capitalize on competitions between departments
  • Display the JA mission

The top 10 Bowl-a-Thon companies were also announced by our student representatives.  The winners were unveiled and displayed on the 2013 Top Ten Towel; another giveaway provided to folks who show up to bowl on behalf of Junior Achievement.
